Needs friends to work. Needs Facebook to add friends. Useless without.

Used for 18 people on a trip for homecoming and it worked. People were skeptical but it worked

If I owe X $50 and they owe me $30, Splitwise does not allow me to pay them $50 and then for them to pay me $30 separately. Splitwise will force me to settle up $20 and will not keep record of the $50 and $30 owed, only the $20 paid. The log spreadsheets are not useful when we dont know what weve paid for. This seems fairly simple but has led to lots of frustration, especially when charges are edited and/or in groups of ~5, not everyone pays at the same time, and there are many active transactions (which Splitwise doesnt show). If there is more than 1 active transaction, Splitwise doesnt show what the constituent costs are in what people owe, so its very hard to trust the "settle up" amount, especially when people dont know what they are settling up for. This renders the app nearly useless.

Love this app! A few tweaks would make it perfect: Link couples before settling up, and add actual PayPal and Venmo links.

One of the best way to add expenses and maintain record of each penny. It saves lot of time.

I have downloaded/deleted this app 4 times and only 2 times did it take me to the log in screen, but then stayed on the "logging in" screen permanently. Very inefficient.

It made my shared expenses a lot easier to manage! One nice to have feature would be to allow a person count as 2. This way couples can be part of a group without the need of doing extra transactions because on of the two pays for both.

Overall the app works magnificently. I have been using it for months to split bills through Venmo and it works great. The only gripe I have with the app is that the UI is a bit janky, but other than that its awesome.

Me and my friends cant imagine our group holidays, dorm life or travels without this. Makes everything much easier and super convenient. Basically lets you have fun and take the hassle out of who pays what pays.

Have used this multiple times traveling with friends. Love the multiple currencies options and group features. Theres also a secret kittens feature in settings

This is a really useful app. The only problem I think is that the user interface and design isnt that much intuitive.

It is one of the essential apps everyone needs to get. If you are living with a roommate or hanging out with your same friends a lot, this app does the best to share expenses with a lot of flexibility. App just works as expected to meet my needs and even more than that. Dont need to mention about trips where it gets excited to use splitwise and see how bills are flowing inside the group. Thanks to all creators of this app for their excellent job. You make our life easier. We need apps like this.

Great app... need to integrate with Venmo or Paypal to easier settle the payment. Also add conversion rate capability between different Currencies.

Ive been testing out other apps for splitting costs with roommates and friends. There are other specific ones for dining out etc or creating invoices that are so limited. Splitwise has so much functionality and versatility. Theyve thought of all the possibilities and made sure there was a way to easily make them happen in the app. You can upload pictures to each bill, split in exact amounts or percentages with specific people within a group, and my favorite. . Export the whole expense list as a spreadsheet in PDF form. The best way to stay organized is Splitwise.
